Health Department

Civil Surgeon is the head of the health services of the district and is responsible to Director General, Health Services. He looks after the administration of staff of all categories working under his control and to carry out various health schemes and provide preventive, promotive and curative services to the general public within his district.

Principal Medical Officer/Medical Superintendent is the in-charge of the civil hospitals and is concerned with day to day activities of the hospital. The PMO/MS reports to the Civil Surgeon for further necessary action.

Senior Medical Officer is the in-charge of the Community Health Centre and is concerned with day to day activities of the Community Health Centre. The Senior Medical Officer reports to the Civil Surgeon for further necessary action.

Medical Officer is the in-charge of the Primary Health Centre & Sub Health Centres under respective PHC’s and is concerned with day to day activities of the Primary Health Centre and Sub Health Centres under those PHC’s. The Medical Officer reports to the Senior Medical Officer in-charge of their respective Community Centres.

Health Programme / Schemes

Janni Surkhiya Yozna:

Under this scheme pregnant women below poverty line belonging to rural area are given a financial assistance of Rs. 700/- and urban area women is given Rs. 600/- incentive respectively if they go for institutional delivery. In case the delivery take place at home, a financial assistance of Rs. 500 is given.

Shishu Surkhya Karyakaram:

Under this programme free and zero expense treatment is provided to the pregnant woman from registration to delivery and delivery is carried out free of cost. Free food is provided in the hospital for three days in case of normal delivery and for seven day in case of suzerain delivery .Free blood infusion is done during delivery in case of women is anaemic. Provision of free and zero expense treatment to the children up to one year.

Kanjak Sambhal:

Under this programme free and zero expense treatment is provide to the girl child up to the 5 years of age.

Rashtriya Bal Swasth Karyakarm:

Under this scheme children between 0 to 18 yrs of age registered in anganwadi centre or studying in govt. or govt.aided school. Treatment is provided free of cost for thirty type of diseases.

Mukh Mantri Cancer Rahat Cosh Yozna:

Under this prog patients suffering from cancer are provided treatment upto 1.5 lac

Mukh Mantri Hepatitis C Relief Fund:

Under this scheme Hepatitis C patients are provided free treatment in district hospital.

Free Immunization:

Under this scheme free immunization is provided to the children to prevent them from seven different life endangering diseases and to the pregnant women as well.

Toll Free 108:

Free ambulance facility can be availed in case of health related emergency on dialing toll free number 108.

Toll Free 104:

A toll free number 104 can be dialed to extract any query related to health or disease or suggestion or loding any complaint.

Family Planning :

Under this prog. men who undergo vasectomy operation are given Rs. 1100/- and women below poverty line who undergo tubectomy operation are given 600/-. Women above poverty line are given financial assistance of Rs. 250/-

School Health Prog.:

Under this programme a regular check up of the children registered with anganwadi centers is carried out by school health teams twice in a year and that of govt. or govt. recognized schools, the checkup is carried out once in a year.

Free Annual Preventive Health Check up Prog.:

Under this programme yearly health investigation is carried out of the persons above 30 years of the age.

Pardhan Mantri Surkhiyat Matri Abhiyan:

Under this prog 2nd and 3rd trimester pregnant ladies will get free health checkup from female doctor on 9th of every month.
