 What is eSanad?

eSanad is an online platform for faceless, cashless, and paperless verification, attestation, and apostilling of personal and educational documents issued by government authorities like:

  • Municipal Corporations
  • Health Departments
  • Education Boards
  • Universities
  • Deputy Commissioner (DC) Offices

🧾Documents You Can Get Attested/Apostilled

    1. Personal documents(e.g., Birth certificate, Marriage certificate)
    2. Educational documents(e.g., degrees, marksheets)

🛠️ Steps to Use the eSanad Portal

Step 1: Register/Login

  1. Go to: https://esanad.nic.in/
  2. Register as a new user or log in if already registered.

Step 2: Document Selection

  1. Choose “Non Pre-Verified Documents”
  2. Document Type: Personal
  3. Issuing Authority State: Punjab

Step 3: Select Document Issuing Authority (DIA)

  1. Choose the Deputy Commissioner (DC) officeunder which your residence falls.

Step 4: Upload Documents

  1. Enter required details.
  2. Upload scanned copies of your documents.

Step 5: Make Online Payment

  1. Fees:
    1. ₹90 per Apostille
    2. ₹40 per Attestation
  2. Payment is made online through the portal to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).

Step 6: Acknowledgment Receipt

  1. Once payment is successful, an Acknowledgment Receiptis generated.
  2. Keep the Application Reference Number (ARN)
