procedure to avail the benefit

The freedom fighter himself and in case of his death, his wife applies for free bus facility to the Deputy Commissioner alongwith 2 passport size photographs, a certified copy of Tamra Patra and PPO issued by the Govts. of Punjab and Centre. After processing and verification from the office record permit is issued under the signature of Asstt. Commissioner (Gen.) who happens to be the branch officer..

GRANT OF SOLATIUM TO PERSONS DIED/INJURED IN ACCIDENTS BY UNIDENTIFIED/UNTRACED MOTOR VEHICLES

 

 

Name of the programme

Solatium Scheme for persons dead/injured persons by unidentified/ untraced vehicles under the Motor Vehicle act, 1982.

OBJECTIVES

To compensate the family of person who dies or receives injuries in road accidents.

Death of injuries should be caused by unidentified or untraced vehicle.

procedure to avail the benefit

An application is submitted within 6 months of the accident to the Claim Settlement Commissioner (Deputy Commissioner), who gets an enquiry conducted through the Claim Enquiry Officer (SDM) and decides the claim on the basis of report of SDM. If allowed, the cases is sent to National Insurance Co. For making the payment of claim ( Rs. 25,000/- ) in case of death and upto Rs. 12,500/- in case of injury.

LIFE TIME PENSION TO FREEDOM FIGHTERS/THEIR WIDOWS

Life time pension to Freedom fighter/ widow in case of death of the Freedom fighter.

As a reward for service rendered to the nation during freedom struggle.

One must be either himself freedom fighter or in his case of his death, his widow is eligible for grant of pension. The Freedom fighter candidate must have undergone imprisonment during freedom struggle.

 

pre-requisites

Tamra Patra, jail certificate and evidence by two co-prisoners. Case must be duly verified by the SDM concerned.

 

procedure to avail the benefit

The freedom fighter himself applies for grant of pension which is given by Centre and the State govt. He has to apply to the Deputy Commissioner along with 7 passport size photographs, a certified copy of Tamra Patra. After processing and verification from the office the case is forwarded to the Govt. of Punjab, Department of General Administration, Political Branch ( Freedom Fighters Wing ), Chandigarh for sanction.

The applicant must have his own land/building for running this business.

 

pre-requisites

The applicant must have his own building, which should not be situated near a school, religious place and hospitals.

 

procedure to avail the benefit

The applicant applies for grant of license under the provisions of Punjab Cinema Regulation Act, 1952 alongwith a proof of ownership to the Deputy Commissioner along with 7 copies of application and other documents. The license is granted after obtaining reports from SSP, SDM, X.En. PWD, PUDA, Town Planning, EO, Nagar Council, X.En. Public Health ( Govt. Works ) and Electrical Inspector, Patiala.

3 years and is renewable after every three years, if the license applies and is found fit for renewal.

COMPENSATION TO TERROIST VICTIMS

Name of the programme

Financial assistance to terrorist affected persons.

Financial assistance in form of ex-gratia grant or subsistence allowance or employment to the next kin of the deceased.

To subsist the terrorist affected family.

The applicant must be a terrorist affected.

 

pre-requisites

The applicant must prove by submission of copy of the FIR registered at the relevant time, Red Card issued by Deputy Commissioner and certificate of death, if any.

 

procedure to avail the benefit

The applicant applies for grant of ex-gratia grant/ subsistence allowance or for employment to the Deputy Commissioner along with copy of FIR, Red Card and death certificate. Benefits of Subsistence allowance and ex-gratia grant are given at the level of concerned SDM, whereas employment is given by the Govt. of Punjab in the Department of Rehabilitation and Resettlement, Punjab on the recommendations of the concerned Deputy Commissioner.

Subsistence allowance is paid for life, ex-gratia grant is given as per instructions from the Govt. received from time to time and employment is also till the age fixed for retirement by the State Govt.

The applicant must be holder of an arms license for a weapon to be imported/ purchased from outside Punjab.

grant of ARMS LICENSE.

Self Defence

eligibility

The applicant must be an adult ( above 21 years ), resident of the district, medically fit and should bear good moral character.

 

pre-requisites

The applicant must be an adult ( above 21 years ), resident of the district, medically fit and should bear good moral character. He must deposit Govt. fee prescribed differently for different weapons.

 

procedure to avail the benefit

The applicant applies at the single window of the office of the District Magistrate for issue of an arms license. The application is processed by the branch, where a photograph is taken in the computer. Police report is sought from the local police. If the same is positive, the licensee is heard in person by the District Magistrate, who issues a license if satisfied.

 

time limit for concession/ permit/ authorisations

3 years. Renewable after every 3 years. The licensee has to purchase the weapon within a period of one year, failing which his license is cancelled.

The applicant must be a holder of letter of intent by the concerned oil company, and should be owner of the requisite land.

The applicant must be holder of letter of intent by the concerned oil company, should be owner of the requisite land.

 

procedure to avail the benefit

The applicant applies to the District Magistrate for issue of an NOC. His application is processed and reports from SDM concerned, Divisional Town Planner, Divisional Forest Officer, S.E. PWD (B&R) or X.En. Mandi Board, DDPO or EO MC and X.En. Drainage are obtained as to whether they have any objection. If they have no objection, then NOC is given in consultation with the DFSC, who is the convener of the Committee constituted for grant of NOC.

6 months or the date pump operates whichever is earlier. After the pump starts working, the license is confirmed.
